About us
THE STORY
OF VIDRO

It all started with a plastic bucket on someone’s head and the childhood certainty that we could do anything. We grew up, but the urge to make mischief, to create something honest and to break the mould stayed. VIDRO is the story of how childish pranks turned into a brand with a character and a philosophy of its own.
Back in 2020 the brothers Andrii and Serhii were sitting in a bar discussing art over a beer. Neither of them could really be called an art historian, but they loved to make things — and to make trouble. So that same evening, straight off a Monobank credit limit, they bought twenty portraits of Shevchenko printed in 1973 at an offset factory in Lviv.
The next day there was a name, a logo and an Instagram page, and within a few weeks those pieces were hanging at the Avanhard street culture festival. That was where the public first saw them, and the snowball started rolling. Some people did not like it, some openly hated it and cursed us out, and some thought it was long overdue that we build our own culture — not through the lens of conservatism and sorrow, but with joy and with acceptance of our past.
Two months later came the first run of hoodies, which was, to put it mildly, of terrible quality. But within a year the guys had opened their own sewing workshop, and then a print shop, a painting studio and the first showroom in the centre of Lviv.
After that came wins and losses, criticism and approval. But through all of it we keep creating. Because our paintings, our art and our designs are about people, and about subliming the kind of experience that every Ukrainian knows well.
BLOG
We are convinced that to love Ukrainian art you first have to know it. So we run a blog about the people whose faces you see on our paintings and our merch.
Who is Ivan Franko outside a school textbook? Why is Lesia Ukrainka more than «Contra spem spero»? How did Kurbas change theatre, and Dovzhenko cinema? We dig deeper than Wikipedia and write it so that you actually want to finish reading.
We also write about contemporary Ukrainian artists, street culture, murals, design and everything that shapes the visual code of Ukraine today. Because culture is not a museum display case — it is a living process, and every one of us takes part in it.
CHARITY

Without any showing off, we will say it plainly: the company you are supporting is trying to make this world better and to systematically reduce the amount of russians in it. Our mission is support for the ARMY, for LOCAL BUSINESS, for the ENVIRONMENT and for CULTURE.
Here is how our work has converted into help for the Defence Forces of Ukraine over these years:
2022
NFT for army: In the first two weeks of the full-scale invasion we sold 122,196 UAH worth of digital images and used the money to buy thermal imagers and body armour and to donate to the state fund supporting the army.
Direct donations: We regularly sent part of the profit from sales to the army — by the end of the year that came to 71,500 UAH.
Drones for the Special Operations Forces: Together with Bezlad.wear and with the support of Katia Blostka, Bet Ket Shop, Anatolii Ostapenko, the Avanhard festival, Dvir and the donations of our followers, we bought and handed over DJI Mavic 3 and DJI Mavic Combo copters out of July’s takings.
Large-scale item sharing: We sent 150+ pairs of socks with humanitarian aid to Kharkiv and 40 hoodies to a humanitarian centre in Lviv. We gave away more than 80 tote bags, 350+ sticker packs, 74 paintings and 80+ T-shirts to charity auctions run by the bands TNMK and Epolets, by Plast (the Lisovi Chorty troop), People Place Bar, the For Heroes foundation, the Book Forum in Ivano-Frankivsk and the Antresol club.
The shell case auction: We sold a shell case from an MT-12 gun and passed the 11,165 UAH raised to the strike drone company of the 24th Mechanised Brigade.
A collaboration with Mamont: over the summer this Ternopil restaurant sold our stickers and raised more than 10,000 UAH for Ternopil brigades.
2023
Systematic support: We carried on turning art into shell cases and drones. Our paintings and clothes became regular lots at Ukrainian charity events, stand-up shows and auctions across the country. We ran giveaways with the Old Lion Publishing House bookshop and with a number of Ukrainian stand-up comedians, and passed on a percentage from charity collections. Many of those collections can still be found on the site in the «For the Armed Forces» section.
2024
A year of wild auctions: We worked closely with bands and stand-up comedians. Our paintings regularly went under the hammer for donations of more than 50,000 UAH per lot.
Capitalising art: In total we supported fundraisers by giving away more than 120 paintings and 80 items of clothing. For the army that came to the equivalent of more than 800,000 UAH in donations.
A special project: We created our own fundraiser, «Jesus will donate through your hands», and raised more than 200,000 UAH for the 47th Mechanised Brigade.
2025
Bomber drones: We got to know the excellent «1991» charity foundation and ran a big campaign — giving away T-shirts in exchange for open jars. The result: the 47th Mechanised Brigade received 72 bomber drones.
A packed schedule: We kept closing requests from the military. We gave more than 180 paintings and over 100 pieces of merch to charity. To be honest, this year we tracked the exact amounts raised by our lots much less closely, because the pace was too intense and the work never stopped.
2026
Still going. Ukraine is already bombing moscow, which is hard not to enjoy — but this is no time to stop.
If you have a live request for help or a fundraiser for the Armed Forces, get in touch: we are open to working together. Right now we barely support educational or civilian projects, because the focus has shifted 100% to the Defence Forces. But we believe education will get its turn too — after the victory.
We do not like empty words, so all the reports, receipts and screenshots from the foundations are carefully collected and kept in our «for the Armed Forces» Instagram highlights. Anything listed above can be checked and viewed there.
We wanted to put the total amount raised at the top, and it would probably already be over 6 million UAH, but so many people are helping that we will never manage to track it all. Thank you, and onward, ladies and gentlemen…
